A record number of golfers braved the wind and rain for the 8th Annual Golf Classic of a National Children’s charity. The Boparan Charitable Trust provides help and support to children with disabilities, life limiting conditions and those in extreme poverty.
The event took place in the award-winning surroundings of the Belfry Hotel & Golf Resort on the world renowned Brabazon Course home of the BetFred British Masters.The headline sponsor for the event was SecurCom Systems, who tee’d off alongside teams from across the food and construction industry.
Guests enjoyed 18 holes of golf, followed by the hilarious antics of golf trick shot expert Kevin Carpenter, demonstrating world class unicycle and gym ball golf.Raising over £25,000 to support the work of the Trust.
The winning team for 2023 was National home builders Elan Homes, returning for a second victory at the event.
Baljinder Boparan Trustee for the Charity said “We were delighted to welcome over 19 teams to the event, for a great day of golf. I would like to thank everyone who helped to support and pull this event together.We could not support our beneficiaries without their help.”
