An inspirational disabled eight-year-old from Leicester has been given a new lease of life thanks to the support of a National Children’s Charity. Niyah lives with a range of conditions including spina bifida and hydrocephalus, which have left her reliant on a wheelchair. At present she is able to push her chair around at home but is reliant on a family member or friend to push it when they go outdoors, due to severe fatigue from her condition.
The Boparan Charitable Trust has helped to support Niyah with a specialised TriRide, which will convert her current manual chair into a three wheel electric trike. Offering her the chance to enjoy the great outdoors alongside her friends and family.
Gareth Aston, Director for the Boparan Charitable Trust said “ We are delighted to have been able to support Niyah with the TriRide. Fantastic technology which has opened a range of new opportunities for her to enjoy an independent and more equal way of life with her family and friends.
