TEENAGE DREAMS COME TRUE FOR DISABLED GIRL
An inspirational toddler from Stroud has been given the gift of the great outdoors thanks to the support of a National Children’s Charity.
Sidney aged 4 from Minchinhampton has hydrocephalus and cerebral palsy, which has left him a full-time wheelchair user and reliant on others for his mobility. The brave toddler has dreams of freedom and independence and a desire to spend time outdoors with his twin and parents.
A wish granted thanks to the Boparan Charitable Trust, who have supported him with a specialist all-terrain wheelchair. The new chair has given the family a new lease of life.
The Boparan Charitable Trust is a National Children’s Charity helping to change the lives of children with disabilities, life-limiting conditions and those in extreme poverty.
Gareth Aston Director of the Trust said “We were over the moon to see the photos of Sidney enjoying his new wheelchair and are so glad that he and his family have been able to benefit from it over the summer. We hope they have many more years of creating special memories together.
