WORLD RECORD RESULT FOR STAFFORDSHIRE ATHLETE – OVER £10,000 RAISED TO DATE

Glenn Baddeley, a 54-year-old endurance athlete from Staffordshire, embarked on a monumental challenge on Saturday as he broke the Guinness World Record for the longest distance run on a manual treadmill in 12 hours. The original record was 68.04km set in India last year. By 8pm on Saturday night Glen had reached a distance 0f 82.41km making it a new world record.Dubbed Project 12, this epic endurance test took place at Base Body Fitness Gym in Stoke-on-Trent. Glenn, an adrenaline fuelled fundraiser with an impressive history of extreme challenges, previously he has run solo across Iceland and completed the gruelling 165km Oman Desert Marathon, earning him global recognition for his adventurous spirit.Through this latest record-breaking attempt, Glenn has raised over £10,000 for the Boparan Charitable Trust, a national children’s charity dedicated to improving the lives of young people facing disabilities, life-limiting conditions, and extreme poverty.Speaking about the event, Glenn said:”I have been a long-term supporter of the Boparan Charitable Trust and their life-changing work. My hope is that this challenge not only raises vital funds but also shines a spotlight on the incredible support the charity provides to children and families in need.”
