The Boparan Charitable Trust

Set up in 2009 to aid children and young people across the UK, who are disadvantaged through disabilities, life limiting conditions or live in extreme poverty.

As a charity we take great pride in taking the time to listen, understand and help families who are often forgotten about, or whose needs are overlooked.

My role is as exciting as it is challenging, being the first line of contact for families. We strive to be flexible and accessible offering assistance to young people and their families.

As a charity we take great pride in taking the time to listen, understand and help families who are often forgotten about or whose needs are not met by the health and social systems.

We warmly welcome all applications and are dedicated to supporting as many young people as possible. However, please note that applicants must reside within the United Kingdom and be aged 18 or younger to qualify for our support.

To apply for a grant from the Boparan Charitable Trust, you will need to follow their application process, which typically includes providing detailed information about your situation and the support you require. Below is a general guide based on their focus areas and typical grant application requirements.

You will be asked to provide:

Proof of Diagnosis: A medical report or letter from a healthcare professional detailing the child’s condition and need for the specific assistance.

 

Quotations/Invoices: For the item or service you are seeking funding for (e.g., therapy sessions, specialized equipment).

 

Completed Trust application form.

Ensure all sections of the form are filled out accurately, including:

Details about the child’s condition and needs.

Explanation of why the grant is essential.

  • The child must be under 19 years old.
  • The child should have a disability, life-limiting condition, or be living in extreme poverty.
  • Grants are usually for specific needs, such as equipment, therapies, or essential household items.

We can help providing funding for the following;

  • Powered & Manual Wheelchairs
  • Specialist Trikes
  • Specialist Buggies & Pushchairs
  • Specialist Car Seats
  • Walkers & Standing Frame
  • Sensory Toys
  • Hoists
  • Basic White Goods
  • P Pod Chairs
  • Single Tough Furniture Beds
  • Therapies (including Speech & Language, Occupations Therapy, Food Therapy, Behavioural Therapy)

If there is an item you would like funding which is not on either lists, please get in touch and we will be able to tell you if it is something the Trust will potentially fund before you fill out an application form. Email: applications@boparan.com.
