28/01/2025
Glenn Baddeley, a 54-year-old endurance athlete from Staffordshire, will embark on a monumental challenge this March as he attempts to break the Guinness World Record for the longest distance run on a manual treadmill in 12 hours.
Dubbed Project 12, this epic endurance test will take place at Base Body Fitness Gym in Stoke-on-Trent and promises to be a spectacle of determination and grit. Glenn, an adrenaline fuelled fundraiser with an impressive history of extreme challenges, previously ran solo across Iceland and completed the gruelling 165km Oman Desert Marathon, earning him global recognition for his adventurous spirit.
Through this latest record-breaking attempt, Glenn aims to raise critical funds for the Boparan Charitable Trust, a national children’s charity dedicated to improving the lives of young people facing disabilities, life-limiting conditions, and extreme poverty.
Speaking about the event, Glenn said:
“I have been a long-term supporter of the Boparan Charitable Trust and their life-changing work. My hope is that this challenge not only raises vital funds but also shines a spotlight on the incredible support the charity provides to children and families in need.”
The event will be open to supporters, with live updates streamed online to reach a global audience. Glenn is calling on individuals and businesses to donate generously and help make a lasting difference.
